air conditioning was too loud

While the staff were friendly, the rooms left much to be desired. The shower had short hairs, and I found the air conditioner far too loud, making it hard to enjoy the TV. Renovations seem overdue, and cleanliness could significantly improve. Just not quite what I expected.

I checked into the Motel 6 in Birmingham for a quick stay. The location made it very convenient to get to work. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, which was a nice touch after a long day. The room itself was clean, and the bed was comfortable enough for a night’s sleep. Unfortunately, the air conditioning unit was rather loud, making it hard to relax at times. I also had some issues with the towels. they didn’t provide enough, and I had to go to the front desk late at night to ask for more, which I found a bit inconvenient. The overall vibe of the area felt a bit dodgy, but I didn’t experience any problems during my stay. More attention to detail could really elevate this place.

Request a room away from the common areas to minimize noise from above, as it can get quite loud.

Family with children beware

You know at least the air conditioning worked, just barely kept us cool. And the waffles were the only decent part of the breakfast, a tiny bit of comfort in this nightmare.

You gotta try the catfish, so crunchy and golden you’ll be dreaming about it later! The location was a solid plus too, making it easy for a quick bite after work.

Now, the room? That was a hot mess, I felt like I was in a horror movie with all the crumbs and creepy-crawlies hanging around. Toss in the AC that sounded like a freight train, and it was downright ridiculous. Seriously, 56 bucks one night, then 72 the next? I should've taken that as a sign to scoot outta there!
